An invitation to join me...
First off, let me tell you how grateful I am that the Lord has crossed our paths.
Whether I’ve known you for months, years, or what seems like a lifetime… God has made a difference in my life through you. Secondly, I want to share with you an idea that the Lord has burdened my heart about for a while now. As women, we need each other. We need to hear how our best friend’s day went, the funny thing her child did, how she too has massive piles of dishes and laundry waiting, and how her family can also never decide on where to eat. Every day things matter to us. We crave the community of other women, and often need to hear different perspectives from other ladies so that we can grow. This is especially true in our walk with the Lord. Mary and Martha both sat at Jesus’ feet…together. They served Him in different ways, together. Every lady that walks with the Lord has the ability to help another simply because of knowing Him. In prayerfully considering who would have a unique point of view and a story to tell…God brought you to mind. Your perspective could touch someone else’s life. Someone you may never meet needs to know there is someone else out there that can relate to how they are feeling. Women from all seasons of life. For these reasons, and many others, God has burdened my heart about a place where women can help and encourage other women. Whether in their walk with the Lord, or first and foremost, reaching them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that they can also have a relationship with Him… at His feet. This phrase appears many times throughout the pages of Scripture. In Luke 10, it specifically tells us that Mary and Martha sat at the feet of Jesus and heard His Word. It is only at His feet that we can find grace to help in time of need. Why do we need you? Our need for community, to find someone else who “gets it”. The lack of Biblically sound material. The clutter of different denominations and translations. Before you allow yourself or the devil to tell you… “this isn’t for me” “who would want to read anything I write?” or, [insert the words you’re hearing here] …take a moment to remember that story or post you read awhile ago that seemed to be found at just the right time. Maybe it was a website you follow, a random post from a friend of a friend on social media, or an anonymous post from a devotional app. Odds are the woman who wrote it heard the same quote in her head before she nervously said “yes” to writing it. If God can use her in your life, He can use you too. I’m only asking you to simply pray about allowing the Lord to use you as a contributor to this new community so that ladies around the world can delight in the Lord today by sitting… at His feet.
